Disputatio:Pechinum

1) I suspect Pechinum may be the better spelling of this word (it was pronounced with a 'k' at the time of borrowing, and like many borrowed names is identical to the common spelling of the time, with a Latin ending affixed;
2) I don't know the etymon of this "Xuntienum". Hofmann says it means "obediens cœlo", but he's goofed on etymologies before (e.g. under Ximum). —Myces Tiberinus 02:50 feb 23, 2005 (UTC)
