How about:

  • thorn, eth, wynn and yogh for Old English and other langs
  • capital versions of the macronate vowels
  • whatever other accented characters are needed for other langs
  • Arrows? (might be a useful shorthand in etymologies — linguadingua)
  • ☺?

Hmmm.... capital macron-vowels, yes, should already be in there, I'll fix that. "Whatever other accented characters are needed for other langs" is a bit broad, I can't fit the whole Unicode repertoire in there ;) but I will throw in the Old English characters.... and a bunch of the IPA too while I'm at it. Not sure about arrows though. —Myces Tiberinus 15:11 nov 10, 2004 (UTC)
Woah. That's a lot of IPA. Methinks it'd be easier to find what you're looking for if it was set out in the recognizable IPA table. Perhaps one that's hidden by default, so it doesn't clutter it up? :) if that's possible.. --Vladisdead 02:06 nov 11, 2004 (UTC)
Well... the IPA table would get kinda big. It'd be nice if we could do the celare/monstrare thing like in the autogenerated tables of contents but I don't know how to finagle that. I have arranged the characters by roughly alphabetical order in an attempt to make them easier to find. —Myces Tiberinus 05:46 nov 11, 2004 (UTC)
