My grammar lists bos as an irregular, with forms like boum. --Vladisdead 03:31 oct 17, 2004 (UTC)
- Ah, hmm. There do appear to exist the forms boum and bubus/bobus. Apparently a lot of the mess has to do with the interaction between 1) bos being a loanword from a P-Italic language, 2) vowel contraction (like motus for *movitus), and 3) its original PIE status as a monosyllabic root noun. Er. bovum is also correct, but you're right that bovibus isn't classical, though it does appear to appear later on. —Myces Tiberinus 05:01 oct 17, 2004 (UTC)
