Given the age of teh Middle-Earth mythos, nothing about it is usable unless the author's explicitly so released it. —Myces Tiberinus 15:13 dec 8, 2004 (UTC)

The thing is, Balrogs have entered the collective "modern mythology", and are used in a lot more places than just Tolkien's works. A pic would be nice, if we can find one. --Vladisdead 05:01 dec 9, 2004 (UTC)

That's true, but still, any media relating to balrogs is not going to be naturally public domain (i.e., older than the 1920's). For images, you'll need the author's permission. Actually... a screenshot from a movie it appears in may count as fair use.
